Honest and Helpful--As Always

I've consistently found that these "...For Dummies" books are formulaic but helpful and well done. I got into real estate a bit many years ago but have forgotten a lot. I was confident that this book would be a good choice for bringing me up to speed again, and I was not disappointed. There are many good real estate books on the market which readers might subsequently consider if choosing to seek more depth and detail, but, if one simply wants to ask--and answer--the question, "Could real estate investing be for me?" this book provides a helpful--and most importantly--honest set of answers. The authors aren't trying to sell the reader anything. No schemes here, just the facts.

Wow! Lots about eye contact that I had never even dreamed about! Patrick breaks down eye contact into the exact components that we have issues with and prescribes pretty cool exercises to improve. I've never given so much thought to eye contact because it seems so simple, but there is so much more going on under the surface. I'm really glad I bought this book because it will help me in my daily life, every day!

I have only ever given positive reviews to items on Amazon before. However, I found this book to be so disappointing that I wanted to give my feedback so other people do not make the same mistake I did.
I am a big fan of self-improvement books but I found this book to be extremely poor. All of the "hints" are extremely obvious and the book is extremely overpriced. I genuinely cannot think of one concept from this book that a child could not have come up with if you asked them to provide talking points about eye contact. It may be worth skimming if it was a free book.
Save yourself the money and purchase one of the countless other books that provide genuine insight on areas of self-improvement.

Eye contact is important! We all know that. So why are so many of us so crappy at it?

I think sitting down and reading this book was one of the best things I've done for myself this year. Eye contact, as the author says, is a prerequisite to connecting with someone. And if you don't have it, you will come off weird and uncomfortable and creepy.

Best of all is that there are very clear explanations and EXERCISES to actually improve your eye contact. Not many books out there tell you how to improve, they just tell you why. I already know why.
